For Fego- tastings and meetings can be a really lovely time to meet clients, discuss ideas, suss out priorities; and moreover, gain a sense of the overall vision for your wedding day.

For clients- tastings are great to get a sense of Fego’s style, presentation, use of flavour, ingredients; as well as find out more about how Fego can work alongside you to personalise the food, service and running of the day.

Before the tasting, we try to gather as much information as possible as to the sort of ideas clients have in mind so that when it comes to it, we’re as close to the mark as possible. The tastings are not set up as list of dishes or items to choose from; rather a platform to work from and fine tune menu and dish specifics by further discussion in the weeks and months following.

There is only ever one couple (plus up to 4 family/ friends) at any one tasting- which gives us a chance to discuss the wedding or event in detail.

The tastings are run from our home and base in North Devon, and we run them on weekdays, out of the peak season. We can try to be as flexible as possible with timings to try to fit round travel etc; but we kindly ask clients to appreciate that due to the nature of the events industry weekends are our busiest times. If a weekend tasting is requested, there will be an additional charge of £150 plus VAT on top of the initial tasting cost.

The basic tasting charge depends on the variety of food being prepared.  An average charge is £125 plus VAT for the bride and groom. A benchmark for this price would be 4 x canapes, 2 x starters, 2 x mains and 2 x desserts.
